Now I know this is totally the opposite of what most you are doing (since the search I ran only pulled up guys removing rear sways), I do a lot of highway driving and we have many quick turns and curves here. So I was thinking about stiffening up the suspension a bit and was wondering if any of you guys out there are running this type of suspension and what your take is on it all.

Looking to upgrade to thicker sway bars (front & rear), stiffer springs, and wider tires for more grip and steering response. Am I totally over my head on this? lol

    Thanks! :)

The stock PreRunner does not have a rear sway bar but from what I have read adding one should take care of your concerns.

Thanks guys, I'm really new to modding any kind of suspension on trucks opposed to a regular car.

The hellwig swaybar has gotten great reviews. I'm gonna get one this summer.

I love my Hellwig rear sway bar, it drastically improved the feel through the corners.

Yea, I'm thinking about ordering me the Hellwig rear sway this weekend; I'm also picking up new tires (265/70 from stock 245?) so hopefully the combination together will help me stiffen up the body roll I get from these curvy roads here in town.

Wider tires should definitely help as well. That's the route I'll be taking once I wear out the stock tires.

I have an OME lift with dakars and my suspension is awesome for cornering. I actually get scared when I drive other vehicles because they handle so softly. I can take turns scary fast.

Ever thought about throwing an X-runner brace on there?

I don't believe the frame is any different, so it should mate up to stock holes would it not?

I really am just speculating from my ass, but it's something to consider and look into if it's what you really want.

Okay guys, after some further researching and looking around, I think I'm ready to tackle on a few things in the near future.

So far I'm set on picking up the Sittin Sic Sway Bar Kit (has front/rear) & this lowering kit (http://www.tundraracing.com/prerunnerdropkit.htm). I haven't looked too much into coilovers and what not since that would be out of my budget for now, but hopefully sometime later in the future those could be had as well.

My other car is a Subaru STI and that's got a bunch of suspension goodies on it as well so I'm really aiming the Taco to have that somewhat sporty feel to it. Hopefully over next few months I can finally make this happen with the Taco! :)
