I got a quote from a local tire shop for the installation of my front Bilstein 5100s on stock springs. They quoted 3 hours labor at over $300, including alignment. I did it myself in my gravel driveway with a socket set, a crescent wrench, and rented spring compressors (from Autozone) in 2 hours. It doesn't seem to have affected my alignment enough to worry about.

Apparently my stock springs, with 135K miles on them, have settled quite a bit, because I got 1.5" lift on the 2.5" setting with the 5100s. I plan to go with OME 881 springs when I get my ARB Bullbar in the not-too-distant future.

I got mine done at local shop. Procomp 3" suspension (shocks, coils, AAL), and 285x75R16 NTG for 1500 out the door. That includes labor and alignment.

Ift questions

Ok so I have a 05 double cab 2wd prerunner and I want to get a 3 in lift so I can fit some bigger tires too accomodate more sand driving... I was lookin at the toytec lift with replacement springs in the front and add a leafs in the rear... I have the tsb already and I was wondering if I need replacement shocks like 5100s? Or can I just use the ones that came with the tsb... And how much should install be.. Or could I do it myself?

I would get the 5100 adjustable shocks... That way you can have some sort of adjustment if you are not satisfied with the level of the truck.

My buddy had his 3" lift with 5100's installed and had an alignment done for about $350.00 at a local tire/alignment shop. (this was just the install price)

My other friend had a 3" lift installed and kept the stock shocks, and the front sat lower then the back.
