    Lift 400-1200
Rims 80-200 a piece, there are lots of nice rims in the 110-140 range
    Tires - depending on size - 180-240 a piece.

Might want to consider some new UCA's 380-700.

So about 1600-3700ish I think I came it at 2400 total.

Basic install of the toytec lift? What is the welding for? A friend of mine did his own in his driveway in 2 hours. There is nothing in the instructions about welding. There are several how to links on the web and it doesn't look very hard. I hope I am not overlooking something, but I plan on downing my 800.00 on tires or lights or girlscout cookies, but I am not giving someone 300.00 to 400.00 dollars an hour for mech work.

hmm... i thought i was very clear about what was welded:

"painting and welding (installing) of sliders"

also, the guy that did my work did not charge $300-400 per hour for labor. his labor charge is $85 per hour and, as you can see, he installed ALOT more than just just toytec ultimate lift kit. did you see all the bullet points in my post? 10 hours for all that work seemed reasonable to me.

if you think that you can do all that in 2 hours, then good luck to you.

Sorry, I was not trying to be a smart@$&. I was a little ticked when I responded. I think your price sounds fair and in line with all the rest on the thread. It deems to me that it should take a good mechanic around two to three hours to install a basic toytec lift( front aluminum spacers/drop diff/rear block or aal. My guy wants to charge 810 for that!!!you had much more work done for about what I was quoted. Sorry again, and thank you for trying to help me!!

    ok, no problem :)

ya, $800+ for just the lift kit is too much.
for me, the installation for the toytec ultimate kit and the UCA's was $425.

i would say keep looking until you find a reasonable price :)

I rented a coil spring compressor from autozone and a set of jack stands. The jack stands were about 40 bucks and the coil compressor is free as long as it's returned in good condition within 90 days thru their loan a tool deal. I figure it's going to take me 3 to 4 hours, but I am reserving the whole day for the project. I will post what it actually takes me with some pics of the lifted taco.

Thanks Larry. The truck is about 1" higher in the back. I actually gained 2" with the 5100s and Eibach springs in the front. Rear TSB raised the back about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2". Will probably settle some after a while.

I was quoted this AM @ $800 for Bilstein 5100's purchased and installed on my '11 Prerunner plus an extra $100 for a 1" billet block in the rear.

I thought it sounded good at first but after reading this thread, it may be pricey. Any input?
