I have a Fabtech 6" lift on my 2005 Tacoma.
I'm running 17x9 wheels. I've read that with the Fabtech lift, 17x9 wheels are nearly required to clear the steering knuckles. I dunno for sure, but I can tell you I have no issues with my lift and tires. The alignment shop was able to get it into spec, and it drives like a Cadillac.
