Billies all around with 2.5" in front, TSB with Toytec 1.5" AAL, 265/75/16 Yokohama Geolander AT-S Redline Elite struts, Ultragauge, Yaseu FT-7900 radio, Leer XL topper, Westin nerf bars.
Wondering if I need new longer U-Bolts if I add the Toytec 1.5" AAL for the TSB rear leafs?

Also thinking about adding the shims. Will this require longer U-Bolts?

    Thanks. Love TW.

If you add only the AAL, your U bolts are going to be fine. No need to buy new (being as your truck is new). If you add the shim, you may need longer ones.

If you're re-using the original u-bolts, just make darn sure you torque them enough and CHECK THEM regularly until you are absolutely sure they're not coming loose. Depending on the situation, they may or may not stay tight over time.

To add: DO NOT over tighten them.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I know people do it but I thought you were not supposed to reuse u-bolts??? Once you remove them you should replace them???

Your not, but if they are not that old, less than 1 year, I would, but just check the torque of the bolts regularly.

I've reused U-bolts for as long as I can remember and have never had a problem afterwards. I even reused the 25 year old ones on a 65 mustang years ago and they never failed or anything.
