Lift - finally done

hey guys,

finally got it all done after a long summer of saving up and researching. Here it stands as of today.

Front:
Toytec/ Eibach Coil Springs
Bilstein Shocks at 0.85"

Rear:
Toytec 1.5" AAL
Bilstein Shocks

Wheels:
17" KMC XD Spy

Tires:
285 Goodyear Duratracs

Looks good. Take off the nerf bars to make it look higher.

How do you like the duratracs?

 

Duratracs are great! Quiet on the road if u ask me. Handle well offroad. They just look mean!

 

Yea, I feel he same. But I think I'm all out of options at this point. I guess I can throw on a 0.25-0.50" top plate spacer (typically used for driverside lean). But not sure if 0.50" will make a huge diff, although toytec claims a 0.5" top plate spacer will actually give u 0.75" lift. Hmmm, maybe later

This is true! I removed my .50 spacer and lost .75 of lift

 

Any vibrations? What if any shim/spacers are you using?

 

Looks good! I'm thinking of going with the eibach's and billies in the future but not sure on a tire size. How much trimming in the front did u have to do for those 285's ?

 

Yep! Think of it like this - the shocks are located closer to the pivot point than the wheel, so a small change there makes a larger change at the wheel. Imagine pushing on a door, close to the hinge. You may only move it an inch, but the edge of the door moves several inches.

Yea, it's got a rake. Originally with 0.85bilstein/eibachs it looked leveled, although really 0.5-1.0" higher in front... After throwing 1.5" AAL rake is alot more obvious now... Ugh... Lookin at throwing in top-plate spacers later

 

i know it was mentioned earlier but im curious aswell on how much and what you had to trim for the 285's
