You may have to rotate it one way to get it in, then rotate it to the correct orientation to line up the bolts. ALso, check to make sure the allen bolt is tight.

cant find a good pic, but yes they did come the same way. ill try to take a pic of it in the morning. too dark right now.

ill look for a better pic in a minute, but im pretty sure that my icons were also like that with the top plate looking "upside down"

I still couldnt get it in after rotating, I might have to remove the tie rod to rotate it in from the side.

ya remove the tie rod end. i did went in relatively smooth. just make sure you get a pitman arm puller..think thats what theyre called.. to separate the tie rod from the spindle. will make life much simpler

fwiw..icons instructions, and some of the other ones i have seen, all mention removing the tie rod end.

yeah I called the guy, he says they fit, they are like the donahoes but i cannot fit it through the coil bucket. It sucks. I guess im going to try to get a new bolt to mount the top plate to the coilover, one with a little more clearence because there is no way that it is fitting in there. I would love to have a close up pic of a set that does.

they are not the long travel ones. they are 6 inches

op..did you wind up removing the tie rod ends to try and rotate them into place?

*just read your post about getting a shorter bolt. make sure to get one that sits as close to flush as possible.

glad you got it figured out. i know from reading your posts that it was a pain but hey you figured it out and did all the work yourself. just think of all the money that you saved, and the experience you gained and can now pass on to others when they come across similar issues. now...post some pics lets see it!!
