Stock/unmodified-suspension 2nd gen Tacoma owners, please post your suspension measurements and year/mileage of your truck. Please measure from the center of your wheel, straight up to the bottom edge of your fender; preferably at all 4 corners. Also list if you have any heavy accessories: winch, full tool-box, etc. Most likely your drivers front will be the shortes measurement: Taco lean.

Since most of us seem to lift our rigs without first measurnig the stock height we end up not knowing exactly how much our lift gave us. We can go to the dealer and measure a new one, but those springs haven't necessarily settled yet and could make for ann innacurate comparison.

The reason I ask for the year/mileage is so we can account for settling of springs. This could also be useful for stock-Taco-owners with higher mileages to determine if it's time for new springs.

Ultimately, after we get a bunch on here I will find the average stock ride height and we can just start using that as a refrence for our lift height.

I'm guessing the stock height is between 20" and 21" in front and 22-23 in the rear, but let's find out.

    Like this example:

2005, 100k miles, winch on front
    DF20" PF20"
    DR22" PR22"

Thanks in advance to those willing to participate.

I would love to but my measurements are crap. I would love to have some accurate ones though.

    Good so far, thanks guys!

Just to make this a bit easier, if you can measure from the center of the hub up to the fender-edge it helps to cut out variables like: tire size, tread wear, and tire-psi.

    Great start, thanks

    empty cabin, empty bed
    full tank of gas

Driver Front 20'' Passenger Front 20''
    Driver Rear 21 3/4'' Passenger Front 22''

I took measurements from the center of the centercaps to the bottom edge/bend of the fender three times.
I'm not sure how much it'll settle or break in; if it does, I'll find out.
One of these days I'll get around to a spindle lift with 285s, but for now, stock height is good.
    Regards.

Well, I've got old numbers, but can't give you the hub center to wheel opening since the truck is currently on jack stands awaiting the stock rims return from the powdercoater.

    These measurements were taken with the truck on level ground, taped from the rim bead, straight up through the center of the hub, to the inside edge of the wheel opening;

    2006 V6 TRD Access Cab 4x4
    52,000 miles on the clock
Bone stock, no rear spring TSB
    Cab vacant, bed empty
    3/4 tank of gasoline

    Driver Front 28.5''
    Passenger Front 29''
    Driver Rear 30.5''
    Passenger Rear 31''

I've measured other ways in the past, (from the ground and from the center of the rim to the fender flare), but found this method the most repeatable.

I just measured mine yesterday, before it went to the shop for a lift install. It is stock, with 245-75-16 tires that are new. The rear from the ground to the bottom of the flare is 34 ",this is with about 500 pounds in the rear. The fronts were just a little higher, at 34.5" on both sides. We are supposed to get the truck back today and will re-measure for the difference before and after. It is getting the Toytec AAL in the rear with 5100's and a set of TRD Off Road coils in the front with the 5100's set on 2.5"

    Rear driver 21.125" (21 1/8)
    Rear passenger 21.75" (21 3/4)

So for my front... was the passenger side just high, or was the driver side low? Should I just split the difference and say the front was 20 1/4" when measuring lift gains from coilovers? Or should all lift height be calculated from the 20" driver front measurement?

All Pro Apex front bumper and Leer 100xr canopy. Unloaded with unknown fuel level when measured. Also have ride rite air bags but deflated for measurements, usually have 10-15psi which brings the rear to around 22" and keeps me from nailing the bumpstops all the time.

    Front D19.5" / P19.5"

    Rear D21.25/P21.75"

6112's or Fox 2.0's soon most likely for the front.
Eventually pairing with Ironman 2" leafs and either Billy 5125(P#33-230337) or Fox 2.0(P#980-24-679)

Can someone give me the stock measurement not from hub to fender but from the center of the lower shock mount to the flat top of the frame mounted coil bucket with weight on? (Ride height)

    PXL_20210106_191734682~2.jpg

My fenders are cut so hub to fender isn't going to work for comparison but I want to see how much actual lift these have given me.

I have a question that I thought would fit into this thread aswell as make for an interesting conversation. I bought my taco several years ago. When I did I was told that it had a suspension lift but he didn’t know what kind. Based on all my research I assumed it was just a leveler kit. Had the front strut(?don’t know if that is correct name for stock suspension) spacer and I thought stock rear spring. It’s has a 3 pack w/over load(total 4). I have read everywhere that they come stock with either 3 or 4 leaf pack so that was of no help. Anyways fast forward to a couple of month ago. I put a BDS 6” lift with the 2.5 fox coil overs with remote reservoirs on my truck. Per convos with accutune I also replaced the coils with 650 lb springs. I also replaced the UCA’s with the BDS ones made for their 6” lift. I also have a magnum RT steel bumper w/12000 lb winch. I am extremely happy with this set up.
Here is my issue. Due to a combo of slippage/axel wrap my lower drive line came out of the slip yoke(again don’t know if that is what it’s called). When I put it back together I realized it’s only in about 1 inch. This was rectified by a Tom Woods drive line.
That was all the back story so you know where I am coming from and what made me start questioning what’s going on with my truck. I have been confused by the “center of hub to fender” measurements everyone has been posting.
    My measurements are:
Front Both sides:25 5/8”(they accounted for the taco lean already)
    Rear both sides: 27 3/4”
Based on everyone’s measurements my front is correct assuming the 3/8” drop is from bumper weight. I ordered 700lb springs to compemsat for the weight but am waiting to install until my Other parts come in so I can do it all at once.(dirt logic LCA’s, SOS performance front big break &rear disc conversion kits that I already ordered) this way I can use the preload to raise front level instead of compensating for the weight. BUT, I want to figure out rear while I’m waiting.
Based on everyones info my rear should be at 26” (22 stock + 4 for lift block)” which means I’m sitting 1 3/4 to high? Im not to concerned I just want to know for information purposes. I included a pic so you can see how it sits)
So, all that to ask- do I have lifted or stock springs? or am I just losing my mind?
Thanks for any help, info, or even thoughts!!
