Which Springs?

So I "need" new front springs to level out my Double Cab. However I cant figure out which ones to go with. IF I do OME springs, which ones? 883, 884, or 885? I worried that the 884 and 885 might give me to much lift and Ill have to worry about CV angles. I do not want to install a diff drop. I only wanted to lift my truck a little bit. I have Toytec 2" AAL in the rear. (or 1 1/2", whichever it really is). I plan on going with Bilstein 5100s, but I will be keeping them at the 0 setting. I dont want to adjust hieght with the shocks. I thought about going with Eibach, but most of the pictures Ive seen, do not look like they gave very much lift at all. Would the higher spring rate of the 885 be better for my DOuble Cab? Or WOuld I only need the 883s? Help!

I didnt want to adjust ride height by putting more pre load on the springs and thus possibly getting a harsher ride. I dont exactly have the money for Coilovers lol

Spring rate is the same for the 883, 884, & 885, just different lengths. See following link:

You've probablly looked here, but toytec gives some approximate lift height for the different OME springs. Here is the link.

All seem to settle a bit, so 884s might be the route to go given your extra leaf.

Eibachs give 1.6 inches of lift which would level you out nicely

I seeee. I assumed higher spring rates. Thanks for that info. I wish I knew what those spring rates translated to in Imperial terms. lol. I was leaning towards 885s. But I wanted to hear more opinions.

I didn't know those all had the same spring rate. My reason for thinking it was different is because toytec reccomends the different springs for the different cab options. I was thinking a higher spring rate for the 885's because they go on the double cabs and the 884's for the single and extra cabs. Learn something everyday. Yeah I guess if they aren't answering you back electronically then a call is in order. Please post up your findings.

I have the eibachs on my truck and I love them(I have pics in my gallery). I got just a little over 1 inch of lift. I work in the Atlantic City area if you wanna see my truck in person hit me up.

where abouts in South Jersey?

Every pic I see id a little different. lol Yours looks good with the Eibachs. But I feel like the AAL I have lifted my rear slightly more than what your TSB springs did.

I have Bilstein 5100's set at 0 with Eibach/Toytec springs and 1/4" spacer on driver side. My DCLB prerunner gained 2" in the front. I'm sure it will settle some after a while. Alignment is spot on and ride is great. I have TSB sping pack in back. Toytec can explain everything to you so I would call them.

Check with Wheelers' Offroad, or try someone that is local in your area. Sometimes a local shop will have a supplier with Bilsteins in stock. But you will probably pay more. Just depends how bad you want them.

884s should still leave you with a bit of rake, 885s should make the truck closer to level.

I still have not made a spring purchase. I have the Bilstein 5100s already. Theyre just sitting in my shed. All I need is springs....

I think I've actually decided against the Eibachs. 1 to 1.5" of lift, just wont do it. I did some experimenting with a floor jack and a tape measure. 2" will be perfect. So......
Any Double cab 4x4 guys have any measurements??? I'm worried the 885s will require a diff drop to relieve stress of CV axles. The specifications of the springs are completely different on EVeRY SINGLE SITE I LOOK AT. One site will say 1.75". Another will say 2.5" or more. Some guys on here say 2". Some say almost 3". This is getting SO frustrating. I do not understand how there could be this much fluctuation in lift height with the same set of springs. If OME is manufacturing these springs with a whole 1" tolerance, that is not acceptable.

Im in the same boat accept I have an Access cab. Im looking at the 884's for ~2-2.25" of lift. I think youd be okay with the 884s for keeping the rake or 885s for a more level look. I think NFL lifted his with 884s on 5100s and it looks good, see if you can search for the thread
