I just purchased a set of stock coilovers for my 06 prerunner with spacers already installed, my question is is there a difference betwen the drivers side and passenger side coilovers, and if so how can I tell the difference?

Well...the previous generation trucks were different. But I'm not sure about the new trucks.

The previous generation trucks - the drivers side coil had an additional winding.

Count the 'windings' on the coils and see if they're the same or not. If one is longer - and if I had to guess - it's probably the drivers side.

The Passenger side will have 2 paint marks of the same color on the coil, I think it is "green". The driver side will have 2 paint spots, but they will be "Green" and "Yellow". :)

Yes.... Pick a spot and use the same spot for both - count the windings.

you know...........i feel like an idiot now!!!:( when me and tigerfan took my coils out to replace the shocks(put in billy 5100's), we didnt even pay attention to which was which. i could have possibly put the wrong sides on................but the truck looks pretty level to me. is it gonna cause any harm if they are wrong??
