16" rims with a 6" lift?

    6" pro comp lift, moto metal rims, front grill
    hey guys does anyone know if it's possible to put 16" rims with a 6" lift, i know u can't do it with pro comp 6". but is there any other lift that u can keep 16" with? :confused:

    why cant you run 16 inch rims with a specific lift?

    rim size usually isnt the issue...its tire size

    you can run 16" rims on anything.. it's the tire size and offset you have to look at

    not all 16 inch rims fit the 2nd gen trucks though...you have to be sure they clear the brake calipers

    right but a lift has nothing to do with a rim size

    i have the 6" lift and they showed me that the 16" rims hitting, so i had to go with 17"

    that could be because of the backspacing or tire size...

    6 in pro comp coilover-35 in pro comp extreme mudders
    it hits the brake caliber,i seen a taco with 16in rims with the mickey thompson simmulated beed locks and they had to grind the calibers to make the rims fit.the only difference that you need to worry about is the backspaceing bacause my stock taco came with 16in rims.

    thats what i figured...it has nothing to do with the lift

    08' off rd 6 speed
    6 inch Fabtech, st stabilizers, 18x9 DC -1s 305/65/18 bfg at's
    Fabtech relocates tie rod on top of knuckle and apparently a 16 won't clear tie rod.
