Add-A-Leafs Installed

This is just info for people that may someday wonder how much lift AAL's add. I had a hard time finding much info when I was searching. The ToyTec Rear Add-A-Leafs made by Alcan Spring added 2.75" to my 2008 Tacoma. My truck is only a few months old, so there will no doubt be a little settling over the years, but for now this is what the AAL's added.

I need a rear lift. How much time? How many people? Easy?

With an air wrench, I'd say about an hour. Very easy to do, but a second set of hands makes it easier.

Yep, ToyTec C/O's set at about 3.5" so that they'll be 3" after they settle.

Wheels are 16x8. Tires are 285/75R16 Firestone Destination A/T's.

so does that have your front currently sitting a little higher than the rear, or is that just the angle that you took the picture at that's making it kind of appear that way ?

Currently the rear is 1/2" higher than the front....close enough for me.

I had the Nitto Terra Graplers on my Silverado. I thought they were a decent tire, but very heavy.

I had to remove the front mudflaps and trim a bit of plastic. I haven't had them rub yet, but I'm going to be keeping an eye on them.
