Installing 1/4" spacer, do I need to seperat UCA from spindle?

Can I just remove the wheel and the 3 top mounting bolts on the shock and install the 1/4" spacer? Or do I need to separate the UCA from the spindle? The spacer is going on top of 5100's set at 2.5"
I want to install it myself and get the shop to align it. Thanks

There are two bolts holding the LCA to the lower balljoint housing. Removing those allows the LCA to drop down to full extension. You can see if that gives you enough wiggle room to lower the shock. This way you don't have to disturb the balljoints.

Just checking to see how easy it was for you to do with only removing the wheel and the top plate bolts. I need to get a 1/4 spacer to correct the lean since it's much more noticeable after the lift. Thanks!

I didn't disconnect my UCA when installing the 1/4" spacer. I did have to remove (loosen) the swaybar to get enough wiggle room. Don't know which one is more of a PITA to do.
