I have looked at many threads on shackles and i know that any cheap way of lifting is the worst way but i just wanted your thoughts on doing just a 1" shackle lift in the back. Since its only an inch lift i was wondering if it would cause any problems in the future since my leaf pack is sagging a little. I was thinking on doing a new 5 leaf pack giving at least 1.5" lift but all i really want is an inch lift in the back so i just wanted your ideas, thanks

I also wanted to know if the rear 5100's give a little bit of lift, I heard that they give you about 1/2 lift in the rear is this true?

The 5100's in the rear DO NOT give you any lift. They are only a shock.

Do some more research on lift shackles...but I'm pretty positive that in order go get 1" of lift using shackles, they need to be 2" longer than the original shackles. And to be honest....that'll unsafe.

yeah i do know that every 2" you get an inch of lift with the shackle but i just wanted to know if that extra 2'' shackle lenght would cause problems

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

i don't know with problems your thinking of but none that I know of. I got AllPro shackles that only give 3/4" of lift so that might be something you might want to look at.

the only problem i really heard of was longer shackles causing even more wear on the factory springs that are already kind of drooping do think a shackle 2 inches longer would do this or would i be safe as long as i dont go any longer?
