3" lift -- worth it?

Want to raise my 2003 xtra cab.

-not for offroad, just want bigger tires.

im sure this isnt the best out there, however im thinking cheap right now.
would i be able to run 285/75/16?

opinions......thoughts...concerns.....??

i'd go for it. that kit aint that bad, and it has an all.....not blocks, so thats better. decent kit man....go for it. and you should be able to run 285's.....just will probably have to do a bit of trimming but it shouldnt be too bad.

 

You'll still need rear shocks. With a lift of that style, you should be able to run 285/75/16 tires. You will need wheel spacers with the stock wheels. Do you have a 2wd?

 

he can get a set of billy 5100's for a good deal on ebay.....or get some shocks from wheelers for pretty cheap that will work.

Yeah, I think my Pro-comps were $35 for the pair, I've had no problems with them.

 

either that....or he can get some shock extenders....and either wheelers or toytec has them for pretty cheap.

i put the billy 5100's on my 04 on all 4 corners, and although im not lifted yet, i think they will be ok when i do since they can be used for up to 2 inches of lift.

what he said, i would go for anything that has pro comp written on suspension products, bilstein are prob the best for the money

 

The first setup you posted about from ebay is what I have on my truck. Have'nt had any problems. You even get the 3in. diff. spacers.
