1" leveling kit raised truck 2" ???

I got a 1" Daystar leveling spacer installed on the top of my struts this weekend. Took measurements before and after and the truck actually raised 2"... I'm actually not happy with getting more than I expected, I think it looks slightly too high now relative to the rear (kinda picky...)

Question is, how could a 1" spacer possibly raise the truck any more than that??? Anyone else experience this?

well, i'm not familiar w/ the daystar, but i know that the top plate spacers actually double (in lift) the actual height of the spacer. For example, if you put a 1/4" top plate spacer on top of the shock assembly, it would actually raise the front of the truck by 1/2". It has something do with the geometry, etc. (not sure i fully understand why, but that's what i've been told and read).

So, if it's a 1" top plate spacer, it will probably raise the front 2".

That. It's a 1:2 ratio
