Unhappy Stiff suspension help

Have the ToyTec Ulitmate lift leveling kit 3" with the 885 coils and rear AAL and factory shocks. The ride is really stiff, a lot more stiff than stock ride from the dealer. The kit says I can use my factory shocks with the kit.

Question: I really want to buy the bilstein 5100s. If i do what do i set them at? Can I set them higher and get more front lift for more clearance for tires or is that a bad idea and why?

If it helps, I feel like the coils are sagging. I am running the top spacer on the front.

Kinda threw me for a loop at first. I think the kit you got and the ultimate are 2 different. (well at least on their website)

Notes: website says that the med(885) and heavy(886)require a different shock. Nit sure you are supposed to run the 885s with the stock shocks.

Billies can be run, but at the lowest setting. With the 885s alone, many get 3" or a bit more..

That's going to to give you almost 4" of lift. Not a good idea for alignment and downtravel.

I agree that if you buy some OME shocks, which are designed to dampen the stiffer spring, your ride will vastly improve.

Wasn't the whole purpose of starting this thread because your suspension was too stiff??

How large of tires are you trying to fit? With 3" of suspension lift and a body lift, you should be be able to clear some pretty big tires. Adding more lift won't be your issue, it's rubbing on other parts like when you make a turn or flex the suspension.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine.

OP, Use the OME shocks (N90000, or N142s), with the 885 spings, if you want the best ride. If you use the 5100's, set them at the 0" setting. Downsouth motorsports sells all 4 (front and rear) 5100 shocks for about $300.00.

What would be the better ride then? 885 without spacer set at .85 or higher. Or with spacer on coil and set at .00?
