Yep, they'll fit. 2005 to 2010 same stuff. UCA anyway.

I noticed the comment that the drivers side bolt will be against fuel lines when installing it in reverse... I just put my Light Racing UCAs on tonight, and on my 2010 it is apparently impossible to install the driver's side bolt in reverse for that reason. The bolt is sandwiched tightly between a brake line and a fuel line, neither of which I wanted to bend in order to make clearance for the bolt head.

On a happier note, installing the bolt from the original direction was MUCH easier than getting it out.

I will be attempting the TC UCA install soon.

-Can someone please give me more info on the puller talked about int he thread? Do you have a link to this item so I can get a better idea?

-Also, what length extension is needed here? 12 inch?

I want to make sure I have all the proper tools before I start! :)

    Thanks!

I don't think I would have noticed if I hadn't installed some TC UCAs a couple of weeks ago. I read your thread prior to install, it was a huge help and confidence builder to do it myself. :)

On a side not what kind headers are those I see in the back ground and how difficult was the install on them? I like the idea of putting on some headers but dread the install they look like a beotch to get to.

just curious as I this is next on my list.... I guess there ARE 2 options out there now.. the bend (material in engine compartment), and the cut (original bolt and buy a new one). What route do shops do? What route would toyota do? Will there now be a 3rd option?

Toyota bends the sheet metal. So do shops. It has no affect on the structual integrity, or is it visable. It can be bent right back, as it only has to be bent enough to clear the bolt head.

As said above, the manual supposedly says to bend the sheet metal. When I put mine on I did the new bolt method, it was super easy but the bolts are like $14 each... next time I'm just gonna bend the sheet metal.

I did not even bother to bend the sheet metal back.

i tried disconnecting the stock uca from the stock spindle today, and after i took off the clip and bolt, it felt like it was fused on there. how did you guys disconnect it? I shook the lca and pulled at the uca and it wouldnt budge...

Tap the lower ball joint with a hammer, tap the spindle near the ball joint.

    :frusty:

ugh i spent 6 hours today taking apart my front suspension for the first time trying to throw some spacers on my coils (yes i know they suck but im just trying to fit bigger tires before i get a more permanent solution) and for the life of me i couldnt get them to fit. i pushed the lca down, but the farther it went down, the closer the uca got to the coil until it binded and wouldnt move, so i couldnt fit the lower shock mount into the lca. would you suggest disconnect the spindle from the uca to get it in or something else? im kinda lost right now...

any other pointers, or is just tapping the spindle by the uniball gonna do the trick?

ok, i'm trying to pry them apart, and hitting it with a hammer, but not too hard because i dont want to ruin the threads. is there a certain part i need to tap, like the side, front, bottom, or anything? it just doesnt want to budge

If your replacing the OEM UCA's, go ahead and beat the threaded part of the stock ball joints. Hitting them upward. You shouldnt hurt the threads, but if you do, your getting new bolts with the TC UCA's anyway.
