How Much Lift With OME Kit?

    first pic is with 885's and billys at 0 the second is when it was just the billys at 2.5. I had talked to toytech earlier today, and they told me to measure from the center of the hub to the fender well. Stock is 20", and obviously 23" would be a 3 inch lift. Just measured outside and it is 22". Does anyone know if maybe I got got some bad springs? Im so confused

    maybe you got 884 coils? did you add the top plate?

    Not yet there on order. I was guaranteed more than 2.5 lift with 885s. How would I know the difference

    yea you should with an AC for sure..the plates are just silver spacers on top of the coil. they don't add much, but for double cabs, it gets you the extra umph to bring you up to 3"

    I got exactly 2.5" of lift with 885x springs on my DCLB 4x4 , no top spacer , my centre of hub to fender measurement is 22 1/2"

    I didn't install the diff drop with mine , from what I've read they don't do much for the 2nd gens

    Rhey change the diff angle quite a bit. And without it it definetely gonna see some major wear on it cv's it a 40 part to save cc axles why wouldn't u

    On the 2nd gen , they only rotate the diff and change the cv angles by a degree or two , tons of threads on this , but like you say , it's a cheap part .

    So if you get the 885/884 and billys what do you set the billys at? .85 or 0 thats if you get the 885s 0r 884s

    Some people run either set up , but at 0 will be less stiff because there will be no preload on the spring

    How much lift would the 884s give? And how much would the 885s give? If you set the billys at .85? I am thinking of getting new coils?

    Running stock ucas and ball joints going over 0 on the billies ur truck us gonna ride really ruff. When u set ur prerunner with 885's and billies on 0 ur gonna get close to 3 inches. The little bit off the 3inch u get a 1/4 inch top plate spacer to get rid of the taco lean.

    After 2 years...5100's set on 0" perch with OME 885s (no spacers or anything)...


    Center Hub to Inside Fender Well
    Driver Front: 22 3/8" Passenger Front: 22 5/8"

    Lift Difference over stock:
    Driver Front: 2 1/4" Passenger Front: 2 1/8" (passenger side was higher at stock to begin with)

    I Know that. That is why I returned mine and ordered a eibach adjustable coilover sleeve from toytec. But a prereunner would be fine
