    Hye guys,

Im getting ready to invest in a lift but want to make sure I'm not lifting on sagging or warn out springs. My truck seems to sit a little lower than the extended cab at my apartment complex so I figured I would post a few photos here and see if anyone can let me know if I should replace my springs, or just throw a AAD in there. It looks like my leafs are sagging, but I still have a little more than an inch left between the bumpstops. Any help is welcome!!

*Note I have 265/75/16 tires on the truck now and u-bolt clamps in front of the axle on the leafs to get rid of the axle wrap I had.

I personally wouldn't put an AAL on those, it may help for a while but won't last long since the springs are so worn. The negative arch on them is not a good sign.

Oh wow that new pic you posted is really bad, probably the worst I've seen. Definitely go for the new springs, an AAL wont do much on those.

I was in the same situation about a year ago. My factory leaf pack was shot so I was told to just get an AAL. A year later I am in the same situation I was last year. Save yourself the time/money and just get a whole new leaf pack.

MAXTacoma (not to hijack the thread), but how many miles on your 06? I'm looking at an AAL to help out when towing, maybe I'm wasting money...

The AllPro 3" pack is good but if you put a lot of weight in the bed you would need the expos and let me tell you there higher then 3" I got about 5" with a camper.

my plan as of now is to get 5100's all the way around, set the stock springs on the front at the 2.5in position and try to equal out the rear. If these leafs from the group buy are higher than that, I think I need another option??

Is it possible for my front springs to sag? How can I tell?

I personally think you need all new suspension you are sagging pretty bad and 5100's and your stock coils are not going to give you 2.5" of lift in the front. This was my truck stock and mine was sagging a little and it was sitting a lot higher then yours.

But this is with 265/70/16's so 1" difference in tire size

    And yours

I see. Guess I should look into some springs as well. What could have caused this bad of sagging?

since I need to get new springs, can I just replace the rear shocks and keep the stock front?

With the 5packs I have about 2" of lift in the rear - from the ground to the highest point on the fender well is about 38" on my truck. I did 5100's at zero and OME 881's for 2" of lift in the front as well. Personally, I wouldn't go any higher than that. After that point you're getting some harsh angles on the rest of the front end...CV's etc.

Your front end could be sagging due to the preivous owner having either a bull bar, grillguard, etc mounted for a number of years. All of that added weight on a stock suspension will make things wear and sag dramatically faster.

I was kind of on a budget, so I'll ask this. Does it make sense to put the 5100s on the front just to set them at 0? Could I not keep the stock shock or Rough Country's with new springs?

So you have this exact 5pack(that the group buy is offering) on your truck and it provided a 2in lift?

Can anyone post stock height in inches from ground to top of fender well for the front? I want to see if I am sagging any in the front.
