I can't find anything on the fourms for older lifts.

I'm looking into buying a 1996 Tacoma from a friend in town.
    Regular Cab. 2wd.

I don't like how low they sit stock and wanted to lift it a bit. Probally around 3in.

I don't know where to begin and cannot seem to find anything specific to the old Tacoma scouring the forum. I don't have much money and only want to spend about 200-300 dollars.

I have found this one on ebay, but have read that spacers are damageing.

will i need a diff drop?

Or should i go with shocks in the front and an add a leaf in the back?
I dont know anything about lifiting trucks.

I wont be off roading, just camping and driving through the wisconsin snow.

Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou.

    Is it a 5lug or a Prerunner?

    Look at build!
Also how many miles? It might not be a bad idea to go ahead and replace the shocks and so forth if its got a fare share of miles on it.

    It is a 5 lug.
And it has 160,000 miles on it.
I am going to ask the kid the last time the shocks were done.

If I do 5100's all around and a rear add a leaf will I get a noticeable lift?

Like I said, I don't know anything about truck lifts.
    Thank-you again.

    They don't make 5100's for 5-lugs.

Your only options are long travel or top-plate spacers.
