Fox rear shocks, FJ on a Tacoma

Who is running the FJ length rear shocks on their 05+ Tacoma, keep in mind these are for the people running 1.5"+ rear lift.

What did you need to do for bump stops? IE: possibly lengthening them due to a longer compressed length

I know how to make them fit, remove the FJ bushings by removing the snap ring and replace with the Tacoma bushings.

The only thing I was looking for was weather people are topping the shock out (not enough collapsed length).

On that note: I will do a search but does anyone know the travel numbers of a J66 leaf pack?

 

If this helps any the 5100 is:

0" to 1.5" Rear Lift Shock Part #: BE5-C476-H0
Extended Length: 22.94"
Collapsed Length: 14.02"

Oh and the FJ numbers are 24.45" extended and 14.85" collapsed. http://www.offroadwarehouse.com/prod...productID/3980

So does the .83" really make too much of a difference on the collapsed length? Ill be running Timbren stops with the setup

 

Oh and for 3-4" of lift:

3" to 4" Rear Lift Shock Part #: BE5-B110-T5
Extended Length: 27.28"
Collapsed Length: 16.34"

So from the numbers it seems like I SHOULD be ok especially since I will be running the Timbrens which "engage" start bumping sooner than stock...or is that the wrong way to think?

If I add the axle shims to correct the driveline angle will that add that little bit of lift needed?

 

Problem is I'm not running what I'm ending up with.

I have the Fox Rear shocks from ORW ( Part# 980-02-372-A ) anyone know If I will have any issues running these with the AllPro 3 inch expedition leaf pack?

 

DSM has billys with a 16" collapsed and 27" extended shocks that they recommend for the 3-4" lift. So I would look into shock with those specs.
