So prior to installing my LR UCA's my lift was at about 2.5/ 2.6" of lift in the front with the Eibach springs, and 5100's set at 0.85. I installed my UCA's over a week ago, and my truck is sitting at 3" now?! I don't get it. I followed the instructions, and tightened the long upper bolt to 83 ft/ lbs when the truck was on the ground...could this be the issue as the truck was at approx. 3.5" higher when I put it on the ground and tightened the bolt. Should I loosen the bolt over the weekend while I'm out of town and see if it makes a diff? Anyone have any insight on this?

Most likely it was because your suspension couldnt droop anymore because of the limits of the stock ball joint, once you added UCA's it could go lower.

It could go lower with the stock UCA's...like about 2" when you'd jack it up...

Wait! you said you installed LRs.... did you preload the suspension before you torqued them? the long bolt that holds them to the frame side needs to be left loose til you set it in the ground then torqued. They are like stock UCAs and need to be preloaded. I bet this is your problem.

I put it on the ground and tightened the bolt, but it was still sitting at 3.5" or higher...think I should loosen them off and let sit, then tighten them up after a few days? I'm going to be out of town all weekend anyway...

I don't know why that is. It sounds like you tightened them correctly. I wouldn't worry about loosening and tightening them again.

Yeah, it's really weird... Maybe I will loosen them up a bit for shits and giggles and see what it does.

Also the customer service with the manufacturer is pretty good. It wouldn't hurt to give them a call.

Little off topic, but did you get the UCAs due to not being able to get good alignment specs? I have Eibach/5100s at 0 and want to go to the .85 setting, but don't really want to buy UCAs if possible.

Drive it a little bit. It should settle down.

How are you measuring, and have you gotten an alignment yet. It could be you are higher up due to the alignment being changed and you riding on a "corner" of your tire, and if you measured from the ground to the truck it could be off.

I got the UCA's to improve my alignment. The alignment is currently at 2.4/2.7 caster, 0.1 camber and 0.01 toe. I have driven it around and filled my tank, etc...makes no difference. My measurement from hub to fender is currently 23" which is 3" higher then stock, and roughly 0.5" higher then before the UCA's?! When I first did the lift 6 months ago it took about 4 days to settle to 2.6 ish inches, but this time it has been a week and a half and no change...

Could it be due to cold weather? It's still below freezing at night, and barely above 3/4 degrees C during the day...
