what all do i need to install a 3inch body lift?
are brake lines, fule lines, steering shaft extension needed?
am i going to need a new fan shroud or have to cut it?

Its bad and not a very safe route, plus they look horrible unless you did it right with the gap gaurds and everything but then you will still see the frame sticking out under teh truck. and they are aggrivating to put on. what are the purposes for the lift? are you just wanting to fit larger tires or do you do any kind of offroading? Whats your budget for lift?

Its probably not that hard, i was actually thinking of getting a 1/2-1" BL for pure looks but it would ruin my sliders. The 3" just requires alot more lifting and the steering has to be extended , an im not sure or not but i think i read somehwere that the radiator had to be moved down or something like that along with some other things, to me it looked like way to much work for what it was.

Well honestly i would save up my pennies and just do it right the first time, you will be much happier than if you got the BL and didnt like the look and realize you wasted all that money and a BL isnt exactly the cheapest either, ive seen the 3" for around 200-300 maybe...and for that you can get a set of Bilstien 5100's and coils and get a way better ride at the same time.

EDIT: just noticed you have a 2.5" Procomp lift, assuming its a spacer, you could always take that and sell it and get about half the money for some billies. Just do it right the first time and you will be happy, too many people on here have gone spacer lift or bought a truck with a BL and wished they would have gone a different route the first time. most dont bother taking the BL off because it requires so much work.

Yes , you can go the route i went with bilstien 5100's and eibach coils and it is advertised for 3" lift at the 0" setting on the shock, but i actually got about 3.5 then you can add a 2" aal for the rear and be level.

& i am only in it $325 for the front lift & with an aal you would be at about $400 and thats shipped to my door, the eibachs may be out of stock so you may have to go with OME coils, idk much about which ones for "X" amount of lift so hopefully someone can chime in on that.

    Here is something from 4CrawlerOffroad:

Beyond 1", you'll start to have issues with more components like shift and steering linkages, gas tank filler hoses and other frame-body inter-connections, but on some vehicles, 1.5" or 2" lift is still pretty easy to do.
An automatic transmission has more complex linkages than a manual transmission.

No anything over 3" and you might, although you dont need the UCA's it would be recomended to get them to get your camber alignment back into spec. but im not running them, just rotate your tires like its going out of style!

Another possibility would be to just get the adjustable bilsteins and use your stock coils, then you could get all 4 corners of 5100's for 200 or so shipped @ DSM (Down South Motorsports) just sign up to the site and you will get a discount code.
