just order my billys!

well i just got the front billys from dsm. then im getting my rear tsb for my 08 done on wednesday. after that im looking to getting 1 inch blocks for the rear. with the tsb it should go up 1 inch in rear. i have a dc lb so it should be around 1/2 inch to 3.4 inch lift after settle right? so 1 inch block plus tsb. so 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 lift with stock shocks will that be ok?

if you arent gonna be offroading/flexing the suspension alot...stock rears should be ok. if you dont feel like they are safe, you may be able to get some rear shock extenders, but again, they may not be needed. i think on a set of bilstein 5100 rear shocks, they are good for up to 2 inches of rear lift, so that may be something to think about also. just food for thought!

D00d,

Bilsteins adj are good! TSB is good! but think three times about spending your $$ on blocks. Run it as is and save up a few spare Hamiltons and get a AAL and the 5100 HD's. for the dollars you spend on blocks and U bolt set you could get close to a single leaf AAL set and for the money you spend replacing the blocks would go quite a ways towards 5100 HD's.

I Know, I know, I have a block but I also have six leafs over it and I dont have any overload leaf to stiffen their flexation and its only a 1" block. Plus its really my only option short of custom cart springs.

you have a much better option than simply blocking up your TSB springs

congrats on your shock purchase!!
