5-lug lift packages

I have 98 2WD with a 2.4l motor 5 speed manual.
I want to raise it up. It is no longer a daily driver.

My goal is to look like a lifted 4X4. but maybe that is stupid...


I searched around, I see Fab Techmakes 2 kits that will work.
1. Fabtech 3" Spindle Lift

I am looking to lift the truck enough to go off roading
But i am not sure if I need both, or just 1 or the others.

I will need tires and rims as well.
I am truley a newbie on this lift stuff.

Please help...

I want to it right the first time.
Later on i hope to get a locker rear end for off roading a bit.
Or swapping rear ends. maybe something with 6 lugs.

 

So much easier to lower it... I researched it, debating to lift or lower.

 

I realy want to lift...

i know lowering is cheaper.

Heck maybe selling my 4X2 and buying a 4X4 would be cheaper..
But I know the history of my truck to well.

I hate buying cars with over 30K miles. the unknow of oil change history scares me..

Found this site.

They have aLong travel kit. $2600, but will make a 2X4 beefy...
Plus shock, tires, wheel, and possible fender and bed mods needed as well.
So pricy over all, but solid..
