Making an AAL out of the old OEM set

    I broke a spring and purchased almost new ones from a forumer here. I was going to raise it a little but a mechanic said he will just cut the long leafs from the old set, get a longer bolt, and put it in the new leaf pack. Can anybody comment?

    Sounds Sketchy to me. just get a proper AAL they are not that expensive.
