Sounds like you are trying to BS them... why do you want to have this done? If you tell them it's bottoming out, all they have to do look and see if the bump stops have been hitting the frame but the above post is what to tell them.

If it does... You must know why you are going in, so be honest. Not all DC or AC Tacomas need the TSB... Some, like my 2010 have better springs and don't bottom out to the bump stops (like my 2005 did). If this happens when you have a load in the bed or two adults in the back seat and drive over bumps... and the suspension bottoms... then get the TSB done. Otherwise, if you have never bottomed then you will just get a harder riding truck... which may be okay for you?

I gave my local dealership a call and told the service guy that I was having problems with the ride while loaded down. I told him excatly this: "I noticed my truck slouching really bad in the back with a load in the bed and it feels like its bottoming out."
I explained that I was looking up this problem online and had come across the TSB which he had never heard of. He said he would look into it and call me back. That was almost a month ago and I never did get a call back. I gotta bring it in for scheduled maintenance soon so I plan on bringing it up again then. Hopefully it gets done.

Good luck. Let us know what happens.

I want it done for 2 reasons.
    1. Because of the slight rear lift. I plan on getting the front end raisd slightly and this will make it even.
    2. I noticed when I loaded it down the rear in sits way too low, not like a truck should.

I got a brand new, loaded TRD Sport DCLB as a loaner when I had mine done. :D
Stop it! :smack: I know what you're up to, rubbing our noses in the fact that our 'upgraded' suspension is the same as yours right off the lot.

That sucks! Mine's a SR5 DCSB so the TRD Sport DCLB was a model year newer and very nice to bomb around in for the day. You're right about the crappy parts though, my TSB pack crapped out on me in 30,000 miles. I'm only at 50,000 miles and the truck has it's third suspension set-up on it... The one I've got now seems to be doing well so far though.

I'm not sure if the TSB for your year includes an alignment, but if it does you should get your front billies installed before the TSB gets done. Free alignment!
