Rear suspension for hauling

My leafs have no arch left in them and my shocks are shot too. I pull a mowing trailer that weighs around 3000 pounds loaded. When I pull the trailer, it rides like shit. It almost gives me a headache its so bumpy. I was planning on going with OME nitrochargers for the rear to match my front nitros/OME springs, but I am unsure about what I should do for leafs. Im looking for something that will give me around 2" of lift total to match the front. I need something that will ride nice with the load I pull multiple times a week, but also ride nice without a load. Any suggestions? Toyota leafs with aal? Dakar?

Look at the Wheeler's 5 leaf pack. I have that along with my OME struts, coils, and shocks that are about to be installed. It gives you 1.5" of lift in the rear..The Dakars don't have the best load capacity from what I hear.

Here is the link to the Wheeler's 5 leaf pack..

Wheelers also sells the Dakars if you end up going with them!

I just always thought that the Dakars were "flexier" than the Wheeler's leafs.

Maybe I'm wrong though

Stiffer without a load

Smoother with a load

I have a cap on my truck , it seems to engage them just enough to take the edge of the ride , without the cap they are stiff , but I only had them with no cap when they were brand new .

They settled 1/4" when I put the cap on and have not settled anymore in the 2 1/2 months I've had them on .

I could be wrong , but I think the Wheelers pack is more set up for articulation offroad and the Dakars are an expedition pack for added weight .

That might be a good question for Wheelers. I know they are made for them. I just thought they were called HD Replacement leafs.

You can get an extra leaf for both sets of leafs. Either way both the Dakars and the Wheelers leafs should get the job done very well.

Feel free to through out any other suggestions. Im mainly lifting it for looks dont do much offroading at all just a little cruising on sum dirt roads.

I have the Dakars and I love them. I run with a cap in the winter and open in the summer. I do carry 100-150lbs. in a bed box just about all the time. As Oz said, with a cap and weight in the back the ride is quite smooth and maybe a little stiff without it. I drive curvey roads near my home and the truck handles very well, even at speeds most would consider excessive.

I haven't trailered with them yet, but I have to assume they will hold up well.

I'll say it again, I love my Dakars.

Here's a face of wood, plus the cap and my box of choker chain, snatch straps, hi-lift, compressor, and basic tools.
