What can I do? Im going from 3" to 6"

Currently I have an 09 with VSC with OME kit with 885, Bilstein 5100 on the front

Toytec AAL on the back with the TSB leafs and shock extenders.

I am about to purchase a 6" kit...havent decided pro comp or fabtech...but can I go a little more with combination of parts I already have and still be safe? I have top gun customz here in my town down the road...what would you all do?

well thanks for all the answers (sarcasm)...I ordered the Pro Comp kit from top gun at the shop a few mins ago. I was told fabtech and a couple other companys are on the fence of going out of business.

I went with the basic for now since I am not a hard core off roader....it will be paired with my bilstein 5100. I got the kit for the ones with VSC.

 

Why? Your going to regret this later down the road.

 

I don't think he will regret it. It was his decision. Many people on here have the pro comp lift and love it, mall crawlers and off road rigs. Good luck with you set up dude!

why go with a 6" Db lift? looks?

 

You can keep none of the front and need longer extenders and blocks for the rear. I cringe at the thought of such a set up but I am anal about suspension.

 

Looks is the only reason to go with a Db... I would much prefer coilovers and uca's, but to each his own

 

For real. Can you cancel your order? Just playing, if you like it then thats all that matters i guess.

i am not sure that you are correct. If studying does right....more progressive coils such as the 885's used with the kit, will put the cv angles at no more cv angle than the truck is at right now with a 3". There should be no boot tearing, or no harsh angle any worse than at its 3" position. Also, the 5100's will provide a better ride over the stock struts, and will cause no issue at the 0 perch setting. Yes coilovers would be the better option, but for a truck that sees little off road, and more highway, there is no issue with a setup such as this for now.

 

Procomp comes with its own springs and shocks. He will be given whats on there back.

 

Where do you get your info?
to my knowledge the only time you get springs or any kind of front dampening (yes you get a set of rear shocks) is with the stage two kits...and thats because of the coilovers?
