    These are two completely different trucks. One is his Baja 500 truck. One is the stadium truck. The stadium truck sits so low because they were run on perfectly manicured tracks with small jumps. It was better to sit low to get around the tight turns

    Edit: One is extra cab and one is not lol

    caged, camburg long travel, 50t leafpack (soon to be installed) light rack over cab, 5pt harnesses etc
    but anyway im choosing 4x4 lt which is the route im going. i do like to crawl alot and get to cool places. but i LOVE to go fast!

    i do eventually want to get a 1-2n gen 4 runner and sas it.

    It pretty much depends where you live, except here in CA we those both types of offroad.

    i like high speed runs because of the adrenaline you get.. so im going with LT. I mean crawling can be fun without a doubt but id prefer going fast than slow.

    My thoughts (usually dirty and not that good):

    1) SAS my truck and put in a crawl box and mainly use it as a trail rig = $10,000+

    2) Sell my truck and buy a reg cab prerunner and add LT front and rear with one-piece conversion and TT bedsides and make it a true prerunner even though it would probably mostly used for show but still my dd (my current plans (ssshhhh!!!) ) = $10,000 + only for suspension and glass.

    Oh, I thought you were talking about LT in general. I agree, anyone can just slap on a LT kit on the front and call it a day.

    But still, goig sas can be as easy as ordering a kit and waiting for ups also...

    You are totally missing the point of a desert truck, its differnet, its not long flat dirt roads, the desert is a very harsh terrain, most rock crawlers who get out there realize real quick they were wrong.

    Another thing if your just slapping a lt kit on the front the you arent even half done... what about the rear, cagework, saftey first ya know. you rock guys dont think what we do is as bad as your stuff, ive been through both and i know i can make a rock guy cry in the desert...

    I'd rather build up a truck like that than buy an expensive luxury vehicle - it's unique.

    It's like would I rather buy a cadillac CTS-V or build a bad as LT rig with fenders for the same purpose

    this is a lame discussion. I do believe TG makes a ready to order sas kit. Also you can go full custom long travel which is a one off, completly fabricated set up and just jump the mountain that ur crawling up :D

    haha I'm not very bright but I got a job lined up once I graduate to make over ~ $150K and I think I would rather build a badass LT rig to drive around rather than an expensive luxury vehicle. I just wanna have something expensive and unique. Call me dumb or just waisting money, either way I'm ok with it :D
