Another 5100/eibach thread

I have a 2010 dc and I am going to install 5100's and eibachs set on "0" up front. I am also installing 5100's and a 2" aal to the rear. Does anyone think I will have any vibes or any issues at all? Also would like opinion on wether I should have done 1.5 aal instead of 2 or will that make any difference.

You're going to increase your factory rake since you're lifting the front 1.6 inches and the back 2inches, and you may have vibes so you may want to get an OME CB drop if you get vibes. I personally would have done the 1.5" AAL but to each his own!

Thanks for the input. I think I will try to call them in the morning and have them switch to 1.5" aal before they ship it.

I just installed 5100s w/ eibachs, set at 0, 1/4 spacer and a 2" toytec AAL. I have a Access cab and, from what I read, I expected and got over the 1.6 that the eibachs are supposed to give you. I got roughly 2 5/8" from the eibachs. I was worried about the 2" AAL being too much, but I wanted the truck to sit higher in the rear. As it sits now, it's has a slightly greater rake than stock but it's only been a week and a half and about 300 miles so they're probably going to settle a bit more. I believe the double cab weighs more than the Access cab, so if you want to maintain the factory rake, I'd stick with the 2" AAL!

Luckily, I haven't had any vibrations at all. However, I just pruchased the Toytec/OME Carrier bearing drop bracket from another member. No vibes, but it reduces the angle of the driveshafts. Even if only by a few degrees, it's worth it, in my opinion.

I've read about that cb drop bracket with mixed reviews. So I don't know what to do. 1.5" or 2" aal. So confusing. I would like to think that since I do have a double cab that I won't get as much lift up front cause there is more weight and the 1.5 would be ok and I would not need the cb drop.

Do you have the TSB rear springs? If yes, I think the 1.5 would be the way to go. Also, Do you want your Tacoma to sit more level or maintain the higher back end?

I want to maintain the higher back end but don't want it to go any higher then it already is. I also don't want to use the cb drop either.

Same exact set-up. I went with the 1.5" 3-leaf progressive AAL and kept the factory overload in. I'd go with the 1.5" AAL.

I also purchased the OME CB drop kit but it looks like it'd make any vibes worse. It'll help the angle from the CB to the rear diff but make for worse angles from the CB to the transfer case. I did not install the CB drop kit for this reason. I had vibes initially and they have since gone away.
