eibach vs OME

hey guys i was wondering if you could all help me out with acouple questions that i have.

i have eibachs and 5100 billes up front right now set at .85. i was wondering if it is and why its bad to set the eibachs any higher than that? i have the 5100s out back too and a 2in AAL, the ass end of my truck is higher than the front. and its doesnt seem like the rear is going to settle any more, i just want to level it out.

would it be better to change out to OME 885 coils and either the 10mm or 13mm top plate lift enhancer?

The next setting is 1.25 and with the Eibachs that will give well over 3" of lift...............and your truck will hate you. You can do two things; the OME route you spoke of or just put the 10mm top plate on what you have already.

why would my truck hate me so much?!!?! i have the drivers side lean spacer already so idk if i could? would i just need to take the lean spacer and just put the 10mm on each side? and i think i might have to get the 10mm if it would work

Your CV angles for one. Alignment issues for another. Shock travel for another. You could put the 10mm on both sides and leave the lean spacer in too.

Next setting for a second gen is 1.75, so it's even worse.

Your truck will hate you because the Eibach's are a stiff coil and that's a lot of preload. You're better off getting a taller coil like the 885's and letting the coil do the lifting rather than preloading a shorter coil. The 885's have a lower spring rate than the Eibachs but they're taller. Toytec also makes a new top plate for the Eibach/5100 combo to give you a full 3" lift without preloading the Eibachs past the .85 setting. You'll also have the same ride you have now with the new top plate set-up. You might want to look into that option.

No, your concerns are 100% valid, you shouldn't go over the .85 setting with Eibach coils for the exact reasons you stated!

Thanks guys for the help. I do have the diff drop already on, so I guess I will have to look imo the top plate spacers. Would i be able to use that in conjunction with the lean spacer?

If you're refering to the new top plates from the Toytec kit, I don't see why not but I don't have that kit and can't say for sure. You should ask Toytec if you end up ordering that kit.

Do you have aftermarket UCA's? You may have gotten away without them on your current set up but going higher may require you to get them or your alignment and handling could suffer.

ya yours is def more level than mine. i think im just gana get the top plate spacer kit from toytec. it says that it adds another 3/4in so i think that will help

OP, did you ever put those top plate spacers on? I have same setup as you and looking for more lift in front end. Did they work with the drivers side lean spacer?
