My truck started out as a show truck on the dealership floor where they threw a bunch of glitter and nice things like rims tires and a lift. It didn’t sell so they traded it to a dealership near me, I showed up the day it got in and had no problem taking it off their hands. Doing my research ive discovered it has 1” blocks in the rear but I’m unfamiliar with the lift the front spacers are giving me. I measured 2”s but somewhere on here I read that spacer lifts lift the truck double the size of the spacer. Due to thermal dynamics or Einstein’s principal of theory… maybe something to do with flux compacters…

Can someone explain this to me so I know what I need to run my tires with. “285/75-18 toyo open country M/Ts”

Your gonna need to do ALOT of cutting to fit 285/75/18's

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
it depends on if the spacer sits on top of the assembly or on top of the coils. 3" on top of the assembly=3" of lift. 1.5" above the coils=3" of lift...

It doesn't matter where the spacer sits......

The physics is at the lower control arm where the coilover is attached. If the coilover strut was mounted at the very END (outter edge) of the control arm, you'd get 1 for 1 (1/2" block = 1/2" lift).

But since the coilover strut is mounted at the halfway point (approx) inward on the lower control arm, you get about 1 for 2 (1/2" block = 1" lift).

so 2" spacer between coil and assembly equals 4" of lift? im trying to figure this out because im getting my TSB spings in today and im addicted to having a level truck.

then how come my 1.25" spacer above the coils for 2.5" of lift, but my 3" spacer above the entire assembly onlt got me 3" of lift?

there's nothing to measure again....the 2.5" lift was on the 07 and the 3" is on the 09. but thats exactly the way it was/is b/c i wondered this before and measured the spacer on the 07. the 09 is just a solid brick of 3" thick aluminum.
