I want to improve my ride quality and wouldn't turn down some lift to go along with it but the main reason for the upgrade is the ride.

I have a 96 4X4 and love it, my only complaint is the ride, which can be truly jaring some times especially on roughly paved back roads or dirt roads. where I do most of my driving.

whats my best option? Billys 5100? I hear a lot about them for lift but hows the ride when set at stock or 1.5?

    any input would be appreciated!

Do you haul much in your truck?

A set of ICONs, or similar coilovers up front would provide the best ride, and performance, but they may not be in your budget. The 5100s are an excellent option. They have much bigger pistons and better valving than your stock shocks, and the fronts will allow you to lift up to 2.5" as well.
I would recommend matching those in the rear with a set of 5100s and a 3 Leaf AAL set.

ok, I like the front set of 5100's and I read about your AAL's how does the 3 leaf pack affect ride quality I didin't see much about it on your site. I am looking at the 1.5 lift 3 pack. I have heard a lot about lifting with 5100's but hows the ride change compared to stock?
