Lift Poll

I would like to start a poll to see who has replaced their UCAs with their lift. I am going to order the Toytec 3 inch lift with the 885s but don't really want to spend the $600 on new UCAs if not needed. I don't know how to turn this into a poll but would like the following categories in the poll.

1 Replaced the UCA's with the lift
2 Didn't replace and don't have any issues
3 Replaced because I had issues after the lift
4 Going to replace in the future

I was certain you could do it by editing the original message, but I just went to the test area and can't seem to make it work. Just re-post the thread as a new thread, I guess.

Of course my alignments off a bit, but really can't avoid it w/o the new UCA's. But other than that, I've had no problems.

 

Just as stated above. Specs for me is 33" tires with 3" lift. Tires wear fine thus far.

 

I say planning to replace because after close to 30000 miles you can see the uneven tire wear, It's not bad but enough for me to want to make it right. Plus I want the uca's so it will stop wondering on uneven roads.

 

I replaced mine with my lift (Total Chaos) but my 285s still rub the UCAs when fully turned backing up. However, I'm running on stock rims.

 

positive. It's not the normal "rubbing" that most experience. It's more of a "resistance" to turning. Plus, I see rub marks on the UCA. And it sucks too because it's rubbed off some of the TC sticker!

But I have plenty or clearance from the cab mount and the front inner fender.

 

I've thought of that, but so many people have said "spacers" are BAD... Are they ok to a point (like 1/4" or something) then they are too wide or what?

 

I have the Bilstein 5100s set at 2.5". The camber on the wheels is slightly off. I can see it when looking at the truck head on. However, it doesn't affect driving too much (though some have complained it did on theirs).

I'm getting the Toytec Bilstein coilovers and the Light Racing UCAs ($449 from Toytec) installed this weekend along with some new wheels.

 

I wonder how wide of a spacer I need...?

 

Well I ended up going with new UCA's due to alignment. Could not even get it close. But now, after two alignments I have no issues. Straight as an arrow......

 

I bought my TC UCAs 30k miles after installing the lift - was tired of the steering wander.

 

so do you think it's okay to wait a little bit to get the new UCA's or would you suggest installing the lift and UCA's at the same time? it's a lot of money and i don't know if i want to spend that much all at once.

 

Yeah but if they rubb like that i would definately get them save time from doing another install.

 

i would rather wait and save up the money from my job, instead of spending a ton of my scholarship money...but if i really need to get them right away then i guess i can.
