Extended travel worth it?

Just picked up a new to me 07 DCSB 4x4.

I have run spacers, fagtech's, bilstein's, sway-a-way's and Icon's on prior tacoma's.

I have never run an extended travel coilover with the UCA. I know it will help with alignment when going 3" on the lift.

Is the extra droop travel worth the extra expense for the UCA? what say you?

Trying to decide which way I am going with suspension this time.

The answer, as normal, is it depends on you, the driver.

If you're a mall crawler, or even only go offroading once a year, then no not worth it. If you actually wheel your truck on any regular basis and want to get the most out of it, then yes. I beat the shit out of my midtravel setup and it was well worth the coin.

If you end up with a uniball UCA, there will be more cleaning/maintenence involved than a regular ball joint. However the benifits are of course the extra travel/articulation and the ability to actually get your caster back into spec.

PM member pAP

He had stock length Coilovers (Walker Evan's) and now has Fox Ext. Travel, he could give you a good Idea of the difference.

I've ran both. I'll answer "opinion" with my previous statement. It's obviously called an upgrade for a reason.
