I need help on a good lift kit.

I have 2011 stock toyota tacoma 4 cyl dbl cab prerunner. I want to lift it about 3" all around to possibly fit 285's on it. I was looking at the pro comp lift kit but ive read so much bad crap about it. Im willing to spend about 500-600$ what is a good quality lift for a 4cyl that wont mess my truck up?

Read this:
http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/sus...uide-read.html

Then check out Wheelers Off Road, Toytec Lifts and Downsouth Motorsports. All are great vendors on this site.

Raswank is correct, look into Bilstein 5100 series shocks. Cheap, effective way to lift a Tacoma and still maintain ride quality. One step better would be to replace the coils also but you might run out of money in a hurry. If you push 3" of front lift, you might need new upper control arms to maintain alignment.

The real lift is up to you. If you go 3 inches you need 5150s. Get a hold of Down South Motorsports if you can't search. They will help you out.

So basically what i need to get a nice lift is 5100's all around and some aal's??
Or can you name the parts i need to get a 3" lift all around give or take

coilovers are only on the front b/c our cars have independent suspension (wishbones to be specific) on the front. the coil springs spiral around the front shocks.
our trucks have a solid axle on the back so thats why there is leaf springs in the back instead
So 2 front adjustable bilstein and 2 rear bilstein shocks then aal's.
how many inches for the aal?
