How For coilovers to Settle??

Hey guys, so I just installed my new Bilstein Eibach coilovers from Toytec..

Here are a couple pics..

I didn't take off my ball joints, like some people, just the sway bar..

I forgot to measure what height my truck was at before, but I have the bilsteins on the lowest setting, but Im pretty sure I'm getting 3" if not more..

How long does it take for the coils to settle, and if they do, how much do they drop thanks??

 

Well your truck is a Single Cab, 4 Cylinder, 2wd.

You have a lot less weight up front, so you will end up with quite a bit more lift.
Those coils may be too much for that truck. Hard to say for sure though.

 

why do you want it lower? it looks good! just curious, and they wont settle much... like 1/4 inch

 

for a 2wd is it bad if the suspension is maxed out or close to it??

 

Your caster will be low.
You won't have much down travel left.
And I would imagine the ride is pretty darn firm.
Otherwise it's ok.

 

I like the look of it.. A LOt! in person it looks really big haha Im just worried about damaging something.. the ride is actually okay too.. I took it over some big bumps already, and its very responsive... to say the least lol

 

Mine only settled after putting on heavier skid plates! And it was only 1/4-1/2". At 2wd it will only be a matter of comfort as you don't have cv joints to jack up! Find the same model stock as yours and measure from ground to fender before they see you, lol!

Or......there were some stock measurements for various models if you search!

 

with a 2wd you will not damage anything, your golden ponyboy. now get some camburg spindles so you can have like 6 inches of lift, then throw some 35s on there

I'd do 285s if you lift the rear. 265 will look to small

 

I would do 44's... but thats just me...

 

wait I take back that thing I said about not spending money.. I want new rear shocks too haha.. any suggestions??

 

Im not planning on lifting the rear, i didnt even want to lift the front lol
I was hoping to get 2" from the eibach coil

I might sell these new coilovers for something shorter we'll see I guess

 

How big are the spacers you have there?
