OP, with your 3" lifts have you had to do a diff drop at any point? i plan on getting a 3" in the near future and gonna putt the biggest tire i can "Without" any trimming and hopfully without spacers (Spridertrax if i must) but i was wondering about how much a diff drop would affect it and would it be worth it?

If you don't want to do any trimming or get wheel spacers, then the biggest tire you can fit is 265/75/16, which you can also fit at stock height.

Diff drops do virtually nothing on second gen tacomas. This is a good read on diff drops, including cad diagrams showing how little they change anything.

Thanks. im willing to put Spidertrax spacers on since this theams to be what everone is running and consensus says that as long as you install properly it will be alright, oh and i already run 17" stock so i wont got ANY smaller especally if im going bigger in tire size.

If you want a 17 then the biggest you can go without trimming is 265/70/17, even with the spidertrax.

im actually probably going with a 18" wheel i reallisticly want a tire between 32-33" and dont really need to go 12.5" wide but it would look nice, im kinda alright with cutting plastic just dont really want to cut the frame or cab mount

i did a diff drop on the blue truck. i also ran 265's on the blue truck and had 0 trimming. but unfortunately with 285's you have to do some minor trimming

soooo what are my options i mean i can get a 275/70/18 i belive but like i said i dont really want to trim and i dont really want a spacer if i can get away with it..... some plastic trimming is fine is you cant see it walking by but metal (frame) is not something i even wat to consider ATM

I have the 5100 shocks and pro comp springs and rides better than my factory lifted toy tec spacer lift and stock Bilstein .... I love it wish I went this route long ago .. The ride isn't too bad stiff just firm

I just bought Pro Comp's Pro Runner Black Series coil over shocks for the front & the Black Series mono for the back of my 2011 DCSB V6 4X4. So far, I'm really happy with the set up & ride, but not that enthusiastic about doing repeat business with the seller...4 Wheel Parts. Always seemed to be "something " with those folks.

I'm getting the same setup, I'm gonna level the front with the shocks should be about 2 and a half inches which would be perfectly level with the back. Hopefully they work out good!

Mine is level and sits at about 2 and three quarters. I've got 285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and no rubbing at all. I think you'll really like the Pro Comps!

Glad to hear! It was a tough call between the pros and the billy's. Pro comp seems to be more sturdy with the preload for offroading use which is why I went with them. I'm running falken wild peak at3, pics when I get them installed! Thanks for the feedback!
