Can you combine a 3" lift kit with a 6" to get 9" total?

This may seem like a stupid question but.... Is it possible to add a 6" suspension lift to the 3" I already have? or do i have to take the 3" out and just install a 6" and then get a 3" body lift?

Im pretty sure that "gotlift" does not have a body lift.
And it all depends on what kind of lift you will be doing. for the rear you could do AAL and blocks... as for the front im not sure

yeah, gotlift has 9" of suspension....not sure exacty how, but something to do w/ like 6" blocks in the back or something. most w/ 9" go for a 6" suspension and a 3" body

u can. the 6 " lowers all the front end to factory specs so when u are done it maintains factory angles just 6" higher. so puting a 3" lift on it is like puting it on a stock truck. However make sure u use a 6" lift with new front coilovers not spacers if u want to do this. like the stage 2 fabtech or procomp kits they come with longer front adjustable coilovers. u dont want to put an extra 3" on a 6" kit that uses the spacer upfront. never stack spacers. another option is to just get the 6" kit with the new coilovers and crankem up a couple inches i wouldnt go 3" more like 2" would be better. but it is another option..

DO NOT STACK SPACERS!!! and if your offroading ur truck DO NOT USE BLOCKS IN THE REAR . #1 stacking spacers on the front struts will BREAK UR CV shafts like they were mad out of wood trust me autozone hated me for life time cv shafts lol and truck wont articulate at all... lots of stress on the strut buckets... #2 blocks in rear is STUPID!!! wheel hop can and will happin due to pivot point of spring and axle seperated can also shatter pinion gears.... and finaly the driveshaft angle will be out of wack unless shimmed but shims with blocks very bad combo!!! check out the blocks and steering on some of these trucks lol http://128.83.80.193/scarysteering/index.html

AGREED W/ YOTA BEAST505, If you want to go higher than 6" then do a body lift on top of a 6 inch suspension lift. I personally have a daystar 1" body so the frame doesnt show all stupid like, and i am running the Fabtech 3.5" coilover system with 2.5" AAL in the back. I am preparing to install the TUFF COUNTRY 5" suspension lift and putting 3" shackles instead of using the blocks. so all together i will be sitting at 6.5 in the back and when i adjust the coilovers i will go to 7" in the front.

thing is 3" is the maximum for lift in the front due to UCA issues and if your a 4x4 the angle of the front cv shafts. so if you have a 3" coil lift then you put the 6" sus. your still gonna have alignment issues and cv shaft problems.

just my 2cents that i have learned from the Taco Gods on here like Chris4x4

ditch the drop bracket and body lift idea... SOLID AXLE that truck...

if you really want to go that high, do it right and make it a chick magnet at the same time...

you will be able to actually wheel the piss out of the truck offroad and at the mall...

Pep's truck...

I like those, but personally, i think they are not the best suited for a daily driven fun vehicle, if your a hardcore wheeler and it never sees the streets except for if you have to drive it to the mud pit then thats great, but for practicallity,,, which i think he is asking about, i dont think solid axle would be good.... do you?

^^^You can't use the 5100's and the spacer at the same time. That's stacking lifts and is nooooo good.

I just realized you've posted this question in 3 separate threads. Each time you got the answer that you cannot do this.

What more do you want from us? No one is going to tell you it's a good idea. The shocks will top out and have no downward travel.
