Bilstein 5100 or ICON Ex. Travel

Hopefully this Christmas or soon after ill be purchasing a lift and i was wondering what you want on your truck Bilstein 5100 or ICON Ex. Travel and the rears would be the same and if i got billy's it would be AAL from TOytec and if i got ICON it would be DAKARS? whats better for offroad and on road i will be running 265/75/16 but later be running 285/75/16 just ill do Cab Mount chop and cut inner fender so tell me what would you choose??

Those are 2 completely different shocks dude. The billy is pretty much just a replacement shock while the ICONs are high performance close to racing shocks.

just from riding on both suspensions.. id go with icon. remember that icon has digressive valving so the faster you go, the smoother it is. Billies were alright... if you get the elbrach coils it will be a lot stiffer than stock.

If your doing a decent amount of offroad and have the budget, Icons's all the way! Like what's been said they are a high end race shock but the 5100's/eibachs can handle a decent amount of trails and still be easy on the pockets. Personal choice! I have Toyec's and looking to up grade only because I'm looking to get a little more down travel but otherwise I'm very happy with the way they handle on/offroad! Win/Win situation man!
