installing 5100's

    bilstein 5100's
    hi, i recently purchased bilstein 5100's for my 2008 tacoma dc and set it to 1.75" and im not able to get the a arm to fall enough to fit the bottom bolt. any suggestions. im about 3/8 of an inch from fitting in the bolt.

    It is kind of tough to get in there. I assume you did not disconnect anything other than the sway bar so you will have to basically pry it in there. It helps to have someone put some weight on the rotor to give the most clearance possible then just pry it in there with something. It's been a while since I did mine so my descriptions may be a little cloudy.

    ya thanks, that makes total sense because i'm prying it with a crowbar by myself and am sooo close. but i wanted to make sure i wasn't gunna break anything. i guess its time to call in a friend to help. thank you

    yupp i finally got it, i used the crowbar and put pressure on the spring. with the help of a friend, which made all the difference.
