TUFF CUNTRY LIFT

Hey guys can anyone shed some light on this, i recently purchased a 3" leveling/lift kit for my 2004 tocoma. Now i am hearing things that a 3inch is not the best choise and that it really max's out the front suspention and it is dificult to align. Those anyone out there have this kit.

 

It does "max" out the factory u.c.a. but I have had no problems with mine except I need to replace my uca bushings cause i am over 100k miles

 

Are you going to be doing some serious wheelin? I havnt heard good things about this kit, but have no experience with it either. Save up and get a good 3 inch lift with some UCAs if you can. That'de be your best option, check out toytec, they have some decent lifts for a good price

 

not up on the acronym's what is uca? as far as wheeling just some dirt roads and camping/surf fishing

 

X2, snoop around the suspension sub forum, you will learn a lot and it will help you make the best decision to serve your purpose

 

The 3" lift isn't the issue it's the spacer lift, they're the worst. I know cause I had one and you'll be better off with some bilstein 5100's and new coils depending on how high you want to go. At 3" of lift you'll be maxed out on the alignment and if you have any issues with that the UCA (upper control arms) will need to be upgraded. Under 3" you'll be fine!
