    A few things
One thing to remember when you dump the overload you will lose about 1/2" in height (thickness of overload).

That's what I was trying to imagine with trying to get my height, looking at 2 chevy springs and no overload, possibly putting me at 2ish. But after combing the thread a little more it seems that just keeping the overload and adding 1 will give me close to 1.5-2, which I want.

Still debating though, not worried about keeping the overload cause I tow once every 2 years or so and its not heavy-heavy stuff. Really want an extra 3-400lb payload without shooting me up 3-4".

Just remember. More arch, more lift. Look for some thick flatter springs to make yours out of, like a 3 leaf from a 4x4 2500.

Definitely going to try and find some donors. I'm in northern new jersey(not by choice), and doesn't seem to be a lot of junk yards around. Hopefully my frame gets replaced so I can work with new 3 leaf toyota leafs. Looking to add more towing and about 2" of lift. Recommendations? I'm thinking two thicker ones per side and remove overload

Depending how heavy & how often you tow , if it's a fair amount I'd leave it in

Its usually only like 1000 lbs, or a couple quads and one in the bed. I just figure it'd be better to have more leafs so they don't sag as much over time or squat. I hate when I tow and it squats.

Recommendations for what leafs to use? 2.25" lift about wanted

Thanks, I'll look. Found some others, not many and most in sketchy areas. Found a GI salvage in pine brook, NJ

i just finished taking apart my donor packs and cleaning up a pair of the leafs. i wanted to double check and ask if there was any advantage to using a certain leaf? my donors were main/leaf/leaf/OL. i'm really hoping one leaf on each side of the taco will result in the lift i'm looking for, so i just yanked the middle leaf out of the donors. here's a pic after the flap wheel:

So i have the 2+1 pack now. I removed the over load spring and added the Icon AAL pack. I installed my front stuff and have to much bro lean. I had to add a 1" block to level out the truck. What leaf can I add that would give me a 1" lift so i can remove the block?

^^^honestly, the previous 132 pages will answer EVERY single question imaginable regarding rear leaf builds(just sift through a little sand). I had to dedicate 3 hours and a pot of coffee to do so but the result exceeded my expectations. I have been in other trucks equipped with other popular leaf packs and i would choose OMD's refurbs all day, hands down. The ingenuity, simplicity, economical $, ride and longevity of OMD's concept of rebulding stock leaf springs is brilliant. Plus, Doug's a heck of a stand-up dude! Thanks again brotha!

I'll have to read, since you have, if you recall the answer to my question, that'd be much appreciated.

I'd do 2 leafs per side, dump the overload.
Preferably leafs from a 1500, but leafs from a 2500 would work.

IIRC, it was like ~$125 for both leaf sets is good

The same shit everyone else has.
Maybe you guys can help me in here....

This question kinda pertains to rebuilding spring packs.

I have non TSB springs on my '11 and a Wheeler's 3 leaf add a leaf and I still want to another get another inch out of the spring pack. Would I be better off finding a junkyard spring pack and breaking it down or adding a new single add a leaf to each side?
