Finally got on a good poser rock to check out my OMD pack.

Fully stuffed passenger, fully extended driver.

What's going on between the 3rd and 4th leaf down? Is there something in between them throwing the alignment of them off in that pic?

    good eye.
I ended up having to use all of the donor pack.
After cutting the eyes off the very top leaf, it was slightly shorter than the second leaf so it got placed under the second leaf (out of order)
The difference in the arc creates that small gap you're seeing.

Did you cut a lot of extra off with the eye?

    Not really, just the ends.
For reference, the donor packs are on the left side of this picture. You can see how the second leafs in them extend all the way to the ends. If I remember correctly, I left the second leafs uncut so that's why the top leaf ended up shorter.

Interesting. They were 2 1/2" wide. Had to just touch them with the grinder to get the ubolts around them.

No idea. Sorry. They were given to me and that's all I was told. They were given to the guy I got them from too so?

Whatever they are, I'm pretty happy with the results so far. Getting them out on a trail was the final test for me and they performed well.

    Hey All,

I'm back after a long delay. (I started at post 2545, if you really want to read my tale of laziness and woe.)

Short version: was all set to go, but then discovered that I'm a crappy 5 lug spring under axle, so needed a ton of arc in my rescue springs.

Fast forward to now: got a set of OEM 3+1 leafs from a TRD OR. I've built 3 Suburban leafs under the factory main leaf:

If you sit them on a flat surface, the height to the top of the arc is 8-3/4". Not sure if they are actually arc'd enough, but since I've still got my stock leafs undamaged, I know I can go back to stock pretty easily.

Just waiting on some new u-bolts and a bit of time to make some 1 hour spring clamps (thanks, Doug!), then it's up-zip-hope-down. And hope some more.

I talked to him a couple of weeks ago. said he was doing good, got a job and stuff like that. I think the internet is even worse where he is at now than where he was before though.

Hi Chris & yeah inter webz is scarce for me , lucky Im on now , I'll be in SD in a week or 2 I'll hit ya up & ya won't recognize me , leaner, tan, healthier & DRUG FREE !! Wow !!

After 2.5 years of monitoring Greg's & Matt's leafs & all the pounding they've taken (these guys are LT'd in front) I have finally gotten cut lengths to a science, their leafs are still beautifully ARC'd with same great performance.... will post later with current pics of their leafs with the numbers, & by later I mean tonite or tomorrow at the latest, that is if anyone is still interested in this shit....
