Just want to add an update on my springs:

Doug and I worked on and threw in a 4 pack of Ford leafs into my truck right after I got my LT done; perfect timing due to the Mojavi run being soon after.

Well 1 Mojavi run, and countless desert trips, runs, high-speed trail-blazes, campouts and jumps- alone and with the group- to the desert have yielded AMAZING results with these springs. After experiencing OMD springs, I can not recommend any spring manufacturer for a standard over axle spring other than Doug's. This is how the springs sit as of this morning after thousands of miles of use and abuse.

So... I have read pretty much all of this thread, and its some good work you are doing Doug. I just got my first Taco a couple months ago. Its 2007 A/C 4x4 base. Its got a 2" block in the rear along with a nasty frown. Goin on 160k.

Assuming that I am mechanically inclined, I should be able to ditch the blocks... rebuild my leaf packs and still be able to get 2.5-3" from the leafs alone.

Also, if i put adjustable 5100's in the front at 2.5". From what i have read this should be a much smoother ride than stock with spacer.

    Is this correct?

It is illegal to achieve more than 3" for a street vehicle in Illinois i believe.

Def be smoother than spacers and and blocks. Make sure you have good shocks in the rear as well.

Oh yeah without question you'll get a superior ride/handling along with the 3" you desire, I don't know what the lift laws are in illinois, I don't think 3" is over the top tho'.. & get rid of those spacers in front def.

    Hi Chris & thanks buddy...:)
