I've recently purchased a 1996 tacoma 4X4 extra cab. I've been reading around on here for a couple of days now. what I'm looking for is about a 1.5 inch lift. I have an idea what I'm going to be doing in the front but, not sure what to do in the rear. I was going to purchase some 5100's in the front and keep my stock springs. My leaf springs look worn in the back they are pretty flat. Could any one guide me in the right direction?

There are a number of ways to achieve your desired 1.5" lift. To help you decide what's right for your needs and budget, I suggest you read through the Tacoma Lift FAQ/Guide sticky in addition to the Suspension Lift Info sticky.

Opinions will vary, but I'm happy with my , Wheeler's , and Bilstein 5100 shocks.

what would be a good shock for doing a 3 inch lift on my 96 taco? im putting 33" tires on it and i already have a 3 inch lift i just need some shocks and i was looking at some bilstein 5125 but they are expensive.
