Checking over my truck I noticed that the bottom leaf on the passenger side has shifted forward about a 1/2 inch. Is this an issue? On my last Taco I snapped one of the leafs so I may be a bit over attentive with my new truck.

Here is the side in question:

Here is the other side for comparison:

While we are on the topic of the springs, here is a picture of the current arch... I have a sleeping platform in the back and about 50lbs worth of other stuff that doesn't come out. Too compressed?

Alcan stock height 4-leaf springs, greaseable main eye bolts, OME greaseable shackles, all energy suspension bushings, 2-row extra deep radiator, KYB gas-a-just shocks. ALL LED exterior and interior lighting including custom tail lights and blinkers.
Mine looked like that before I replaced them with springs that have an extra leaf (still maintains stock height). It's nothing to worry about. It most likely won't do anything.

Our trucks have notoriously weak factory leafs. Yours appear to have the same negative arch mine had before I upgraded. I don't think you HAVE to replace them but, given your topper and the gear you carry, it's probably a good idea. There are a number of options available, but many of us are happy with .

How much lift did you get with the 5-leaf? 1.5 as advertised? If I'm gonna get new springs, I'd prefer to do around 3 in the front and back so that I could run 33's.

The 1.5" lift estimate is based on stock (i.e., non-sagging) height. Since my leafs were sagging, I netted closer to 2" of lift. Pics and measurements are available here.

    Other/taller options are definitely .
