WRECKED..need some frame info please

I have an 07 TRD Access Cab with 58,xxx miles.

Long story short, I played pinball on an interstate bridge Monday to the tune of $12,000 in damages.

I haven't been officially told by the insurance adjuster that it isn't totaled, but since I couldn't reach him and it's Friday, I called the dealership and the body shop manager gave me the scoop. They're replacing the left front fender, entire grille assembly, headlights, rear bumper, repairing dents in the tailgate and cab (bed shoved forward into it), replacing the front of the frame, and working on the rear frame, and replacing the entire composite bed.

The shop manager made it sound like the frame isn't one piece. As best I can tell it's a one piece but I suppose he could be talking about the actual welds and whatnot. I know frame work these days is much better than the past and I'm ok with having the truck repaired but I don't want to end up with a lemon--the estimate is too close to it being totaled to take the chance.

Can anyone tell me more about the frame? The front left of the frame was bent on the tip. I'm not sure what they're doing to the rear. I think I'm gonna ask them to show me, but if the bed hit the cab then it must have shifted considerably.I didn't even know the bed was a composite. It's no wonder the thing fishtails so easily.

Anyone here a body tech? I dont feel like anyone is trying to screw me over, but i'd just like to be a little better armed with info when the adjuster calls.

 

So is the frame one piece or two pieces?

 

It's all welded. One piece essentially.
